Uhrenholt has opened an Emborg Professional FoodLab in Bangkok, where our chefs can work alongside customers and suppliers to create unique foodservice solutions.
The kitchen was recently the setting for a Pizza Ideation involving our Asian foodservice team and the Culinary Manager from Pizza Hut. Weird and wonderful pizzas were created over the course of a 2-day workshop. The winning recipes will be perfected by our corporate chefs and presented to Pizza Hut as part of our close cooperation to introduce new cheese solutions to the franchise.
GOLDEN BITES PROMOTION
In United Arab Emirates we have a close collaboration with Pizza Hut often in connection with promotions. In celebration of their 60th Anniversary, Pizza Hut wished to wow their diners with a truly premium and exclusive pizza. The concept idea was developed from our tasty cheddar that turns golden brown when baked and covering it with edible gold to achieve the Golden Bites Pizza. The pizza was offered as a Valentine’s Day Special only available to diners in store and limited to 100 Golden Bites pizzas per store. Despite a premium price, the promotion was a huge success and widely mentioned in the media. We are proud to be part of Pizza Hut’s success.
CHEESY 7 CAMPAIGN
Cheese is good – a lot of cheese is even better! Pizza Hut have found that more cheese generates more sales, so a multiple cheese pizza is a regular campaign item. In Asia, Pizza Hut was buying cheese blends from America, which posed a problem in regard to long lead times and high minimum orders. Uhrenholt offered a new and better solution. With the help of our extensive retail assortment and experienced corporate chef, we tailor-made a new 6 Cheese Mix from 100% traditional European cheeses. Combined with cream cheese, we are proud to present the “Cheesy 7”.
TAILOR-MADE EGG TARTS
In Thailand we worked with local bakery production and supermarket chains to develop a tailor-made egg tart.
Collaborating with clients, suppliers and our corporate chefs we achieved a truly 360 degrees solution.
The tailor-made egg tart became a success and is now listed in 3 of Thailand’s largest supermarket chains with sales of more than 3 million egg tarts per month
Emborg products are sold in many bakery stores across Asia. These stores sell various bakery ingredients primarily for the professional market. Our team in Malaysia have launched “Project Purple” – an instore campaign to ensure that our signature Emborg purple literally dominates the retail bakery scene. Using our Emborg Professional design line, counters, chillers and windows were decorated with eye catching recipes and pack shots to both inspire, brand build and ultimately lead to purchase. EMBORG DAIRY ACADEMY
We have a long dairy tradition and seek to share this knowledge with our partners in the markets where we operate. Through our Emborg Dairy Academy we train sales staff as well as business partners / F&B professionals on the facts and benefits of various dairy products so that they in turn are better equipped to sell to customers and ultimately the end consumer. We aim to spread the value of dairy, increase consumption and sales thereby creating mutual benefit for all.
Most recently our team in Asia has been on a road-show to the Philippines, Cambodia and Vietnam in collaboration with such partners as METRO, MacroAsia, ARMYNAVY, Isabella Dairy and Cambodia Chefs Federation.
